Happy Thursday! Hope you all enjoying the sunny and hot summer. I have been quite busy with travel and work. This week i had some time for myself and decided to post something for you guys. I made homemade s’mores hot chocolate. As much as i love summer, my favorite season is fall. I love how trees change their colors, pumpkin and apple picking on weekends, halloween, tons of cuddles with my 4 legged baby with cup of warm and comforting hot choco in front of the tv. In fall we also enjoy camping outdoors so instead of making regular hot choco i decided to add some toasted marshmallows. You will need few ingredients for this recipe. MIlk of your choice, agave nectar, sea salt, graham or any similar cookies of your choice, marshmallows, cocoa powder.
Well, let’s get started
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of vegan milk
- 4 tbsp of cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp agave nectar
- pinch of sea salt
- graham crackers or any other cookies of your choice( crushed finely)
- ½ cup marshmallows or as much as you like
Directions:
- Using saucepan heat your milk on medium hit. Milk can get overheated fast so make sure to watch and stir the milk.
- Add cocoa powder, 2 tbsp of agave nectar, salt and mix it all together until well combined and no clumps.
- Now take few marshmallows and rub them on the edges of your mug. Put the mug upside down and dip in graham cracker crumbs. You can use the rest of the cookies to add around the plate and place the mug in the middle.
- Now take your hot chocolate mixture and pour into the mug. Add marshmallows on top.
- Take the mug and place it inside the baking sheet and carefully open the oven and broil the marshmallows for few minutes. Watch the marshmallows. Make sure you don’t burn them.
- Open the oven and carefully take the mug out with towel and place it on top of the plate with cookies crumbs around.
- Drizzle agave nectar on top for extra sweetness.
Now time to enjoy!!!
