Hello everyone and Happy Monday. New day, new week and yes, new recipe! Over the weekend we get to go out and try different types of cuisines. We tried many thai places before and many of them don’t serve vegan iced tea. We got a bit disappointment since it’s one of my favorite drinks during the summer. So i went home and decided to make Thai iced tea. You just need few ingredients for this recipe and it’s easy to make. I made a big pitcher so we can drink it for few days. You can make as much as you like.
Well, let’s get started with the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 11 cups of water ( water will evaporate and will end up with 10 cups after boiling)
- 3 tbsp of loose black tea ( i used English breakfast)
- 2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup agave nectar
- soymilk ( or any other types of vegan milk)
- ice cubes
Directions:
- Bring water to boil. I used large saucepan.
- Remove from heat. Add your tea and let it sit for about 4-5 minutes.
- Now add: vanilla extract, maple syrup, agave nectar. Whisk it well.
- Now pour the tea over strainer to the large pitcher where you are going to keep the tea.
- Keep the pitcher in the fridge for at leash 4 hours.
- After 4 hours take the pitcher out of the fridge.
- Take your serving glasses and fill them with ice cubes. About 5-6 cubes per cup depending how big your cubes are.
- Fill the tea 3/4 way to the glass then top it with soy milk.
- Voala, Now enjoy it!
