Happy FriYAY Hope you all having a nice week. It’s almost weeee kend… A lot of my friends and family requested I make granola bars again so I decided to chance it up and make something a little different than your ordinary granola bars. These bars I made today are super easy to make and it’s with berries so no nuts, oats for this recipe. I used agave nectar for sweetness but you can use coconut sugar, brown sugar, molasses if you prefer . I used bittersweet dark choco bar but you
can use cocoa as well if you don’t have chocolate. I put blueberries and raspberries for toppings but you can use any other
berries of your choice. I hope you like this recipe!
Well, let’s get started with the recipe!
Ingredients you need for the crust :
- 1 cup finely ground hazelnut flour ( I used Bob’s Red MIll brand)
- 2 teaspoon coconut flour
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 4 teaspoon agave nectar
- ¼ melted coconut oil
For the chocolate layer:
-
7 oz. bittersweet 70% dark chocolate, melted in a pot
- about a cup of fresh berries of your choice
- ½ cup organic coconut milk, canned
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line round 8×8-inch pan grease it with coconut oil
- In large bowl, combine the almond flour, coconut flour, chia seeds, baking soda, and agave nectar. Mix it all well.
- Add the melted coconut oil and use your hands to combine and it should stick together
- Now put the mixture to the greased pan. Press it evenly.
- Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes , the edges should be a little bit brown. Let cool completely for about 20-30 minutes.
- In a pan put your dark chocolate and leave it on medium head until it starts melting. Now add coconut milk and lower the heat and mix it well until you get creamy and smooth consistency. Let it stand for a minute to cool off a bit.
- Now pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust.
- Now add your berries on top.
- Leave it out until it gets hard or chill it in the fridge for 2 hours before cutting it.
Enjoy!!!!
