HI everyone,
Yes, I have not been active for a quite awhile, but I’m back and ready to share my new dessert recipe. It’s easy to make and I promise you it’s delicious, soft and will satisfy your sweet tooth. You will need a few ingredients for it. For the filling I used raspberry jam, cinnamon, raisins and chia seeds of course you might choose to put something else, such as: different jams, nuts or dried fruits.
Well, let’s get’s started!
Ingredients you need:
- 3 sticks of vegan butter or margarine ( i used butter)
- 4 tbsp brown sugar or any other sugar of your choice
- 8 oz vegan whip cream
- 3 to 4 cups of flour
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar to sprinkle on top
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 stick of melted butter
For the filling:
- Raspberry jam (you can have any other jam of your choice)
- 2-3 tbsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp chia seeds
- Few raisins in each roll
Prep time: 25 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Use electric mixer to combine the butter and sugar.Mix it well on low then turn of medium speed.
- Now add the whip cream, keep mixing on low then medium speed. Slowly add one cup of flour in on low speed until combined. Repeat this step for the rest of the three and a half cups of flour.
- Now add the flour. Start by adding 1 cup at the time. Mix it very well for 2-3 minutes until all well combined. If the dough is sticky add more flour.
- Next is to take out your dough and wrap with plastic wrap and leave in the fridge for 30-40 minutes. if you in the rush you can skip this step.
- Now take your dough and knead,
- Roll out the dough and cut into big triangle.
- Now cut out small triangles.
- Add your jam thin layer of it then sprinkle the cinnamon and chia seeds. I also added raisins for sweetness.
- Roll up each rugelach and boom you are done.
- Now add melted butter on top of each rugelach.
- Sprinkle poppy seeds on top.
- Bake for 25-28 minutes. I baked mine for 25 min and they came out nice and soft.
- Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
- ENJOY!
